I'm playing solo, with an assault rifle to damage health and a light machinegun to dmg armor. Getting specific pieces of gear to drop with high enough gear score and with "godrolled" stats seems ridiculously difficult. Since I'm not buying the expansion I'm stuck at level 30, meaning I can't optimize anything or farm for specific gear in the Summit.
